A J Lysne named Hormel Foods Corporation’s Spirit of Excellence Award Winner

A. J. Lysne Contracting of Owatonna has been given the Hormel Foods Corporation Spirit of Excellence Award for 2006. This is the third year A. J. Lysne has been honored for attaining service standards of excellence that have assisted Hormel in their quest for superior customer satisfaction.

Hormel Foods, based in Austin, MN for over 100 years, is a multinational marketer of consumer-branded meat and food products. For each of the past eight years, Hormel Foods was named one of “The Best Big Companies in America” by Forbes magazine.

Upon presenting the award, Hormel spokesperson Jim Frank stated that of the over 8,000 vendors, suppliers, and contractors with whom Hormel Foods does business annually, only 70 across the U. S. were given this award.

At the award ceremony, which was held at their Corporate Engineering offices in Austin, numerous Hormel officials commented on A. J. Lysne’s skill, expertise, work ethic, and problem-solving abilities. A. J. Lysne has recently completed projects for Hormel in Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, as well as numerous locations in Minnesota.

A. J. Lysne has been a commercial general contractor and construction manager since 1978. They have a multi-state history of construction of schools, hospitals, government buildings, hotel and retail establishments, and historic renovations. Their work with Hormel has been multi-faceted in the areas of industrial plant construction, livestock and food-processing layout and design, and heavy equipment installation and maintenance.
