Courses at
the Construction Laborers’ Education, Apprenticeship and Training Fund
of MN and North Dakota are conducted in a beautiful, state-of-the-art,
44,000 square foot facility in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. The training
center consists of classrooms, meeting rooms, a welding area, three
6,000 square foot, hands-on training bays and administrative offices.
Our instructors are highly qualified and certified to offer a full
range of courses. Our facility is recognized as an authorized provider
of industry specific courses by the Asbestos Abatement Unit of the
Minnesota Department of Health, the EPA, and OSHA.
Our facilities’ enrollment capacity
permits up to 150 trainees per week in various construction,
environmental and safety skills courses. We offer this training as a
benefit to Construction Laborer Union Members and signatory
contractors. Our goal is to create choices by educating and training
laborers to become skilled craftsman.
Total training
hours in 2008 were 114,279, Journeyman hours were 49,219 and Apprentice
hours were 65,060. Total students were 5,419 of those 2,845 were
Journeyman and 2,574 were Apprentices
