Sheet Metal Union Local #10 Southern Minnesota

The Sheet Metal Workers International Association was organized on January 25, 1888. Sheet Metal apprenticeship training has been in place for over 70 years in southern Minnesota. This training program has earned the gold level accreditation award from the International Training Institute JATC accreditation board.

Training Center

The Sheet Metal Union Local #10 Training Center is located in the campus of Rochester Community and Technical College, Heinz Center Building.

Teaching the Sheet Metal trade

Our apprenticeship training program involves teaching the apprentice all aspects of the sheet metal trade. Some of these categories include architectural sheet metal work, HVAC which includes plans & specs, blue print reading, industrial welding and sheet metal work. We also offer test and balance, heating, cooling and refrigeration service training, power limited licensed training and update classes. Foreman training, Hoisting and rigging, CPR classes, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, comet classes are also offered to the journey level membership.. These are a few of the training classes and hands on programs. We also have access to the Metro Training Center, White Bear Lake, MN which is a state of the art training center.
