An IRA to Roth IRA Conversion Idea - "Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too?"

In 2010, there are no income limits to restrict converting pretax dollars in an IRA into after-tax dollars in a Roth IRA. There is, however, the little matter of the tax that would be due on the conversion, as the holder would need to pay income tax on the dollars moved. The government has mitigated the tax burden slightly by letting the holder pay half the tax in 2011 and half in 2012. Click here to see an example of how a charitable gift annuity could make the conversion start to look very attractive.

New at RAF: "Imagine" Spreads Through Downtown Neighborhoods

Building on the successful Imagine Kutzky neighborhood planning initiative in Kutzky Park, the Foundation has initiated Image Slatterly and Imagine Eastside in the Slatterly Park and Eastside Pioneers neighbhorhoods. Neighbors, business owners and landlords from each neighborhood have participated in two planning and strategy sessions to begin developing visions for the future of their neighborhoods. Representatives from each area have volunteered to serve on the respective Imagine Leadership Councils to drive the planning. We look forward to exciting ideas to be forthcoming that will build on the current strengths of each neighborhood.
